Well, here I am, making a blog at last. I've resisted the
temptation of making a blog for ages, but now I really see no reason not to get
one. Here is a blog, a place where I can share all of the crazy and funny
things that happen in my life, all of my crazy thoughts, and all of the things
I love and enjoy in the world. And the best part of it is, I am fairly
anonymous. None of you know me, none of you will ever meet me, and none of you
can find me at school and judge me on the things I say. I have no reason to
live up to any social norms here, I can just open up about all of the things I
am thinking and feeling without ever having to deal with people I know judging
me based on it. It's a major stress relief, just opening up completely.
Well, I imagine
you want to know exactly what you're getting yourself into here, so I'll tell
you a little bit about myself. I am a high school student, living my happy
little life in a happy little town. I am an advanced English student who loves
to write, and a thespian to boot. I just love the arts in general. Music,
literature, theater, art-imagination in general fascinates me. The
sciences are also a big part of my life. I'm taking extra science courses this
year, not to get ahead but just because it's incredibly interesting! Reactions,
particle physics, biological combinations, DNA's potential, planets,
stars, infinitely expanding universes! Oh how incredible it all is! Combine my
love of the arts with my curiosity of the unknowns in the sciences,
and you have an interesting fellow.
As well as all my
edjamacation stuff, I do have a personal life. Typically, I just like to go and
talk to people and try to make them laugh with quick witted or
sarcastic responses. I love to hear people laugh, that is my drug in this
world. Laughter, and lots of it. It's the best drug in the world, you can never
overdose. I really think that's the one thing I couldn't live
without, seeing smiling faces combined with the sound
of uncontrollable laughter, all caused by yours truly. I walk on the
comical side of life, now the only question is, are you willing to walk with
me? I'll have a million funny stories to put on here at some point, but let’s
just take it slow for now. We did just meet after all. =)
Ever since this
sweet blonde girl walked into my life, I've gotten to hear a lot more
laughter. She introduced me to a little coffee shop downtown where a lot of the
thespians go and hang out. We have musicians who range from the piano, to the
guitar. From classically trained Elizabethan singers, to your basic choir
geeks. From theologists, to comedians. We are an odd mix match of
unlikely people, but no matter what’s going on in your life, an evening at our
little coffee shop with friends will fix everything. There's always
someone to joke to, always music being made on a whim, and sometimes enough
silence in the evenings to have a deep conversation with a close friend. A
teenagers paradise really.
Now, about that
sweet blonde girl... Oh my gosh she's incredible, I want to spend the rest of
my life with this girl! She's much more artistic than I could ever hope to be,
much more musical, a better actor, (which should frighten me, right? I will
NEVER be able to tell when she's lying to me!) Who’s beautiful beyond words,
more trustworthy than any girl I've met before,
(which instills confidence, she never lies... I think?) Knows
how to make me laugh, witty enough to keep up with my humor, and has enough
self control, morals, and stubbornness to do whatever she wants...
God, I'm in love. Thankfully, this isn't one sided. She's "head over
Tom's" for me. Her words, not mine, still a lovely prospect all the same.
=) She's that one girl in the world I can listen to for hours, the one
girl who I can pour my heart out to, the one girl who I can hide cute
love notes in her locker, along with chocolate roses. Best invention ever,
chocolate roses. It's like someone took everything girls love and condensed it
into one object. If it sparkled like a vampire in the sunlight, women wouldn't
need us guys at all, that would be everything they could ever ask for and more.
It's almost sickening how in love I am with this girl though, it’s amazing!
She’s opened my
eyes to a lot of things. Blogs for one. Also more types of music and much more
diverse realm of art, poetry, and theatrical things. She's introduced me to so
many more things, but she has also introduced me to one of the most important
things in my life. Christianity. She comes from a very Christian family (which
means they seem really nice and uptight, but every so often they throw a wild
sex joke at you and you just have to go "where the hell did that come
from!?") and it we actually stopped seeing each other at one point because
I wouldn't become Christian. However, eventually I did become a Christian of my
own free will, and my life will never be the same. I was never spiritual at
all, and realistically I was on a bad path. But, for the most part, I've been straightened
out and have learned to live by better morals. I've learned of the love, the
forgiveness, and the compassion that God shows us every day, and I'm so
thankful that I've gotten a chance to see it all, a chance to live this
incredible life that I've been given. I often wonder, without this sweet little
blonde girl, would I be here, would I be Christian? Would I be living this life
I lead today, full of art, music, thespians, and God? I really don't think I
would be. I really didn't care about God before, but she showed me the light of
God, and saved me. I didn't even know I was drowning. She insists that only God
can open your eyes to him, but really without her I wouldn't have given God a
chance to do so. She's a blessing, just short of an angel sent from Heaven. If
only you knew her whole story, you'd see how much of a blessing she is to those
around her.
Well, there I am
in a nutshell. If you can pin a teenager down to a few things, this is me. I am
an English loving thespian who loves to joke around with friends in a little
coffee shop downtown. I am head over heels for a lovely girl who's head over
Toms for me. I love her, not just because she’s her, but also because she
showed me Christ, and kick started my walk with him. I am so thankful
for all of it, this incredible life that I live.
This is me.
Hopefully I can begin to pour my heart out here, share my funny stories, retell
my life events, and just have fun while doing it. This is it for now ladies and
gentlemen, until next time. =)
